Ingredientes

  • 1 lb grnd turkey
  • 1 x egg white
  • 1/4 c. unseasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. finely-minced fresh mint
  • 2 Tbsp. finely-minced cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion
  • 1/2 x garlic clove chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chopped ginger root
  •     Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 c. teriyaki sauce plus more
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  •     Nonstick cooking spray
  •     Toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Combine turkey, egg white, bread crumbs, mint, cilantro, onion, garlic, ginger, lime juice, teriyaki sauce and salt. Mix thoroughly. Using wet hands, shape mix into 4 equal patties, then flatten each. Set aside on wax paper.
  2. Coat large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Sear turkey burgers, cooking in batches, till browned and cooked, about 6 to 7 min per side depending on their size. Press lightly with spatula while cooking to flatten slightly. Spoon additional teriyaki sauce to glaze while cooking.
  3. Top with toasted sesame seeds before serving, if you like.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  5. Comments: You can also cook these burgers on the grill. Spray grill with nonstick spray before heating. Cook burgers over medium-high heat and brush with extra teriyaki sauce while grilling.
