%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI've%20come%20a%20long%20way%20from%20those%20early%20bowls%20of%20chili%20.%20.%20.%20they%20were%20rather%20bland%20actually%20.%20.%20.%20just%20tinned%20tomato%20soup,%20beans,%20onions,%20and%20ground%20beef%20with%20some%20chili%20powder%20and%20oregano%20thrown%20in%20for%20good%20measure.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThankfully,%20I%20have%20been%20a%20lot%20more%20adventurous%20in%20my%20experimentations%20.%20.%20.%20and%20my%20tastes.%20Mind%20you%20.%20.%20.%20it's%20a%20completely%20different%20world%20out%20there%20these%20days%20.%20.%20.%20it's%20a%20much%20smaller%20place%20and%20so%20much%20more%20is%20available%20to%20us.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20a%20fantastic%20bowl%20of%20red,%20or%20chili%20as%20it%20is%20commonly%20called.%20Rich%20and%20flavourful%20and%20oh%20sooooooo%20scrummy!%20We%20like%20it%20with%20grated%20cheddar%20cheese%20dusted%20over%20the%20top,%20and%20a%20bit%20of%20chopped%20onion%20.%20.%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20crusty%20white%20rolls%20to%20mop%20up%20all%20of%20those%20lovely%20juices,%20thick%20like%20gravy%20.%20.%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECan%20anything%20on%20earth%20taste%20any%20better%20than%20white%20bread%20and%20gravy?%20I%20think%20not!%20Especially%20if%20it's%20chili%20gravy!%20Yum!!%20Yum!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*The%20Best%20Chili%20Ever*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%208%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can't%20beat%20a%20big%20tasty%20bowl%20of%20red.%20This%20is%20rich%20and%20flavourful%20and%20rib%20stickin'%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20the%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20pot%20over%20medium%20heat.%20Add%20the%20onions,%20garlic%20and%20chilies.%20Cook%20and%20stir%20until%20soft.%20Add%20the%20meats.%20Cook,%20stirring,%20til%20browned.%20Stir%20in%20the%20cumin,%20cocoa%20powder,%20oregano,%20chili%20powder,%20coriander%20and%20sea%20salt.%20Mix%20in%20well.%20Stir%20in%20the%20tomatoes,%20ale,%20beef%20broth,%20coffee,%20tomato%20puree%20and%20brown%20sugar.%20Add%20the%20beans.%20Bring%20to%20the%20boil,%20then%20reduce%20the%20heat%20to%20a%20low%20simmer.%20Cook,%20stirring%20occasionally%20over%20low%20heat%20for%20about%202%20hours,%20til%20nice%20and%20thick%20and%20rich.%20Serve%20hot%20with%20some%20chopped%20onion%20and%20cheddar%20cheese%20sprinkled%20over%20the%20top.%20Delicious!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
