The Weekend Dish: 11/2/2013

Happy Saturday to you!

I hope that your weekend is off to a fabulous start. Do you have anything exciting planned? My first priority this weekend is to try to avoid whatever sickness has been trying to take hold for the better part of two weeks. I feel it looming and I’m trying to squash it. Can you believe that it’s already November?! Thanksgiving is now less than four weeks away, ah! Better get menu planning

P.S. Don’t forget to turn back your clock tonight! An extra hour of sleep, woo!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Sweet Onion and Parmesan Dip – This dip only have five ingredients and can be mixed together in a matter of minutes. Definitely a recipe to have on hand for spur of the moment get-togethers!

Apple Cider Caramels – These are incredibly easy to make and taste just like apple pie! The texture is perfect – soft and chewy.

Pumpkin Pancakes – These pancakes are such a perfect breakfast for a chilly fall morning. They taste like pumpkin pie!

Candy Corn and Pretzel Chocolate Bark – Too much candy corn? Toss it with pretzels and any other favorite salty snack and make chocolate bark!

Friday Things – Doggy BFFs, socks, Homeland, a great BuzzFeed list, and more!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Apple Pie Stuffed Monkey Bread (Country Cleaver)

I absolutely love monkey bread; stuffing it with apple pie filling is just pure genius.

Brown Ale Ice Cream with Salty Caramel and Honeyed Peanuts (Somewhere Over the Kitchen)

I lose a little motivation in the ice cream department once it gets cold out, but this has to be the coziest sounding ice cream I’ve ever come across!

Dulce de Leche Brownies (Two Peas and Their Pod)

I have two jars of dulce de leche in my pantry and now I have big plans for them. These’s brownies look insane!

Healthy Coffee Banana Smoothie (Cookin’ Canuck)

This is exactly the type of breakfast drink I need to get me more acclimated to coffee so that I don’t always turn to Diet Coke when I need a bit of a caffeine jolt. It sounds delicious (and healthy)!

Lasagna Dip (Closet Cooking)

Oh my goodness… sauce, cheese, beef… this looks amazing! I never tire of dip recipes!

What was the best thing you ate this week??

Have a delicious weekend!
