Thick And Chunky Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt Italian sausages (warm style is my preference), beef, turkey, or possibly pork
  • 1 lb Grnd beef or possibly turkey
  • 2 can (small) tomato paste
  • 1 can (medium) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (large) whole, stewed tomatoes
  • 1 x -(up to)
  • 2 Tbsp. Garlic salt or possibly pwdr
  • 2 x -(up to)
  • 3 tsp Oregano
  • 1 x -(up to)
  • 2 tsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Anise seed
  • 1 x -(up to)
  • 2 tsp Salt
  •     Fresh grnd pepper to taste
  •     A little red wine (makes a sweeter sauce)
  •     Tabasco sauce (for extra spice in your life)
  •     Green olives
  •     Bell pepper
  •     Onions
  •     Fresh garlic, herbs

  1. This recipe is a guaranteed winner. No more bottled spaghetti sauce! As soon as the basic ingredients are down, this sauce can be made in large batches to be frzn for later.
  2. NOTE: The quantities of herbs and spices can be varied, depending on taste.
  3. I usually measure them by estimation (i.e. no measuring spoons).
  4. Brown sausages till hard. Remove from heat and slice into inch-wide pcs. Brown grnd meat. Drain. Add in, in this order, tomato paste, sauce, and whole tomatoes with juice to meats. Throw in herbs and spices. Stir. If sauce is too thick, add in up to 1 1/2 c. of water. Cook 30 minutes. to two hrs. The sauce gets better the longer it cooks.
  5. Prepare spaghetti. When noodles are ready, top with sauce & parmesan cheese.
