Receta Thinking of Drinking: Tuscan Lemon Drop
by Lauren DeSantis

We recently filmed a new episode of Capital Cooking called, "Under the Tuscan Stars."  I came up with a delicious recipe to go with the food.  This Tuscan Lemon Drop has the perfect herbal-lemon flavor.   As seen on the “Under the Tuscan Stars” episode of Capital Cooking 1 shot Ventura Limoncello 1 shot Three Olives orange vodka Juice of ½ lemon 1 shot of rosemary simple syrup Ice Rimming:  1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary, lemon zest and 1 teaspoon sugar Garnish:  rosemary sprig Fill a shaker with ice and add Ventura Limoncello, vodka, lemon juice, and rosemary simple syrup. Shake it.  Put the rimming ingredients onto a plate.  Rub a piece of lemon on the rim of a martini glass and dip the mouth of the glass into the rimming ingredients.  Strain liquor into the glass and garnish with rosemary sprig.   Rosemary Simple Syrup 2 cups sugar 2 cups water 7 sprigs Shenandoah Growers rosemary Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.  Stir until sugar dissolves and then remove from heat.  Add rosemary and cool.  Store in a clear glass bottle or jar with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator.  Rosemary   Photos by Bryn Wallace Facebook Twitter Google+ Pinterest StumbleUpon LinkedIn
