Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Grated Cheddar
  • 1 c. Grated Mozzarella
  • 1/4 c. Grated Parmesan
  • 1 lb Penne pasta
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 sm Cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Mustard pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Grated nutmeg
  • 3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped herbs (dill, parsley, basil etc.)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  •     Pepper

  1. Charge in Ontario (perhaps Canada). My 12 year old daughter decided to try this recipe and she has become the maven of macaroni because of it.
  2. Everyone raves and Leah is proud to have a dish as wonderful as her sister's chocolate chip cookies.
  3. In a bowl, toss chesses together and set aside.
  4. Cook pasta. Drain well. Put into a 13 x 9 baking dish. Set aside.
  5. Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add in garlic. Cook for 1 minute. Stir in flour, mustard pwdr and nutmeg. Gradually whisk in lowfat milk, making sure which there are no lumps. Stirring, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  6. Set aside 3/4 c. of tossed cheese. Add in remaining cheese to sauce a handful at a time. Stir in herbs, salt and pepper.
  7. Toss sauce with pasta. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
  8. Place baking dish under broiler for about 1 minute or possibly till cheese is bubbling.
