Receta Three Easy and Delicious Smoothies
by Marlow

This past weekend I started my new job. It has been a whirlwind of training and learning, but I’m so excited about the opportunity.

As some of you may remember, I was the Assistant Director at One World Market for three years. OWM is a non-profit Fair Trade retail store. Basically, our mission is to provide an outlet for artisans in developing countries to sell their handmade crafts. Thus, alleviating poverty and supporting families and communities. That’s a nutshell friends.

But as of December 29th – I am the new Executive Director.

Dreamy right?!

It’s going to be a ton of work, but I feel ready for the challenge. And excited!!!!! I truly love OWM and the mission. Fair Trade just makes sense you know? Did I mention I’m excited?

But with the new responsibility, I am being thrown into an entirely different day-to-day schedule. While I figure out how to juggle it all, I’m also working on adjusting my body clock to wake up at 5:30 instead of 6:45.

Luckily I have a FAST, GLUTEN FREE meal or snack that has been pushing me through quick breakfasts and working lunches. Smoothies!

I have three of my favorite smoothies here for you today, but I’m always looking for new flavors. If you have a favorite, share in the comments!

The most delicious smoothie ever!

Into the blender: 1/2 cup GF rolled oats, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup frozen strawberries, 1 to 2 cups liquid of your choice – I used Vanilla Soymilk Light; optional add-ins: 1/2 tbsp. Chia Powder for fiber and 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

Creamy, Pineapple-y, and filling!

Into the blender: 1 cup frozen berry mix, 1/2 cup Vanilla yogurt, 1 to 2 cups liquid of your choice – I used Vanilla Soymilk Light; optional add-ins: 1/2 tbsp. Chia powder for fiber, 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

I used an Antioxidant blend of berries and was PLEASED with the results! Dole Mixed Berries with Pomegranate!

This smoothie is not for the faint of heart. It definitely tastes “green” but it’s oh so good for you. If you want a green smoothie that still tastes like a sweet dessert, then try theGreen Monster.

Into the blender: 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup Vanilla yogurt, 2 handfuls of fresh Spinach, one handful of fresh kale – stems removed, 1 to 2 cups liquid of your choice – I used Vanilla Soymilk Light; optional add-ins: 1/2 tbsp. Chia powder for fiber, 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

If you’re making it for later, just throw them in a blender bottle or mason jar so that you can shake it up and assimilate the ingredients.

Happy Thursday!!
