Tomato Florentine Soup And Sauce With Dill

Ingredientes

  • 1 can Hunt's diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 x -2 teaspoon butter
  • 1/3 c. heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 x rounded teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 Tbsp. finely minced spinach (used canned)
  • 1/4 tsp chopped garlic (used dry)

Direcciones

  1. Soften garlic in warm water for few min. Saute/fry onion in butter (adding bit of water so onion cooks and is soft). Meanwhile whir the spinach in a food processor or possibly blender till it is mushy - you want it to be in tiny, tiny pcs.
  2. Add in the dill weed, spinach and can of tomatoes - juice and all to the onion/garlic mix. Simmer slowly till blended and onion and garlic are soft.
  3. Just before done (and this takes just a few min) stir in the cream cheese and stir till it is dissolved. Then add in the cream and simmer for a few min.
