Top 10 Must-Have Baby Items: Birth to 3 Months
This list is not even close to being comprehensive when it comes to all of the things that we have and use, but these are definitely the ten that stick out as the most used and most-loved over these first few months. I’d love to hear what must-have’s you would add to this list, and especially anything for babies in the 3 to 6 month age range, since we’re just starting out there!

.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Car%20seat%20cover%20%E2%80%93%20If%20you%20have%20a%20winter%20baby,%20I%20HIGHLY%20recommend%20a%20fleece%20car%20seat%20cover!%20We%20just%20took%20this%20off%20of%20our%20car%20seat%20a%20week%20ago;%20while%20it%20was%20freezing%20out,%20it%20was%20perfect%20for%20keeping%20Joseph%20warm%20and%20draft-free%20when%20we%20had%20to%20take%20him%20to%20the%20pediatrician.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7.%20Fisher%20Price%20play%20gym%20%E2%80%93%20Joseph%20started%20using%20this%20about%20a%20month%20ago%20and%20as%20soon%20as%20put%20him%20down%20the%20first%20time%20and%20he%20looked%20up,%20he%20broke%20out%20into%20a%20huge%20smile.%20It%20has%20a%20mode%20that%20only%20plays%20music%20and%20lights%20when%20he%20hits%20or%20kicks%20something,%20which%20is%20awesome.%20Once%20he%20realized%20the%20correlation,%20it%20was%20awesome%20to%20see%20him%20start%20kicking%20once%20the%20music%20stopped.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8.%20MAM%20pacifiers%20%E2%80%93%20We%20received%20an%20assortment%20of%20pacifiers%20between%20shower%20gifts%20and%20freebies%20and%20while%20Joseph%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20use%20one%20to%20sleep%20or%20even%20routinely%20for%20that%20matter,%20it%20does%20help%20him%20occasionally%20if%20he%E2%80%99s%20feeling%20fussy%20in%20the%20early%20evening.%20We%20tried%20a%20ton%20of%20different%20ones%20that%20didn%E2%80%99t%20work%20very%20well%20before%20discovering%20a%20freebie%20MAM%20starter%20pacifier%20that%20we%20had,%20and%20it%20worked%20like%20a%20charm!%20He%20seems%20to%20be%20able%20to%20keep%20these%20in%20his%20mouth%20easily%20and%20they%20do%20seem%20to%20calm%20him%20down%20if%20he%E2%80%99s%20mildly%20fussy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9.%20Swing%20%E2%80%93%20Most%20people%20I%20know%20said%20that%20their%20baby%20either%20really%20loved%20or%20really%20hated%20their%20swing.%20Joseph%20is%20most%20definitely%20in%20the%20%E2%80%9Clove%E2%80%9D%20camp%E2%80%A6%20he%20still%20takes%20a%20ton%20of%20naps%20in%20there%20and%20he%E2%80%99ll%20sit%20in%20there%20very%20contently%20if%20there%20is%20something%20my%20husband%20and%20I%20both%20need%20to%20be%20doing.%20It%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20look%20like%20the%20one%20we%20have%20is%20sold%20anymore%20(this%20one%20is%20similar),%20but%20it%E2%80%99s%20awesome%20because%20the%20seat%20pivots%20so%20he%20can%20swing%20in%20multiple%20directions%20and%20it%20comes%20with%20lights%20and%20sounds%20and%20rotating%20stuffed%20animals%20that%20he%E2%80%99s%20loved%20to%20look%20at%20since%20he%20discovered%20them%20a%20couple%20of%20months%20ago!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10.%20Video%20monitor%20%E2%80%93%20We%20have%20a%20Motorola%20video%20monitor%20and%20I%20think%20it%E2%80%99s%20one%20of%20the%20best%20things%20we%20purchased.%20Joseph%20makes%20so%20many%20noises%20when%20he%20sleeps,%20so%20it%E2%80%99s%20awesome%20to%20be%20able%20to%20peek%20in%20and%20see%20if%20he%E2%80%99s%20really%20awake%20and%20upset%20or%20if%20he%E2%80%99s%20just%20stirring%20around%20in%20his%20sleep.%20More%20often%20than%20not,%20it%E2%80%99s%20the%20latter,%20which%20saves%20me%20from%20going%20into%20the%20nursery%20and%20potentially%20waking%20him%20up%20when%20he%E2%80%99s%20still%20sleeping.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBONUS:%20Munchkin%20Arm%20&%20Hammer%20Diaper%20Pail%20%E2%80%93%20This%20thing%20is%20beyond%20awesome.%20We%20have%20one%20in%20the%20nursery%20and%20another%20one%20in%20our%20family%20room,%20which%20is%20where%20the%20majority%20of%20diaper%20changes%20take%20place.%20It%E2%80%99s%20incredibly%20easy%20to%20use%20and%20you%20can%E2%80%99t%20smell%20a%20single%20thing.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
