Ingredientes

  • • Rice flour – ½ cup
  • • Urad dal flour – ¼ cup
  • • Honey – 1 cup
  • • Baking soda – a pinch
  • • Food color (optional)
  • • Oil

  1.  Mix rice flour, urad dal flour mixture, and a pinch of baking soda in a bowl.
  2.  Add a few drops of food color (orange or red). Add water gradually to achieve vadai batter consistency.
  3.  Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Take small portions of the batter and gently shape them into small balls.
  4.  Drop the balls into the hot oil and fry them on medium heat until golden and crispy.
  5.  Drain excess oil by placing the fried balls on a paper towel.
  6.  Warm the honey slightly (do not boil).
  7.  soak the fried balls in honey and let them cool.
