Receta Tropical Ambrosia Dump Cake
by Midnight Baker

Tropical Ambrosia Dump CakeFruity dump cake made in the slow cooker that is reminiscent of ambrosia!

There's not too many people who don't enjoy ambrosia--and a dessert so easy, it practically makes itself!

My store had cake mixes on sale buy-one-get-one and instead of the usual yellow cake I buy for many purposes, I decided to pick up two pineapple ones.

Easy dessertI love the flavor of pineapple and I didn't want to make the usual upside-down cake with it.

Had a couple of cans of tropical fruit salad in the cupboard--I love that with some cream--and of course I always have canned pineapple on hand. I also had some maraschino cherries in the fridge from another project. And oh yeah, there's always coconut here because that's another passion of mine.

Simple IngredientsSo I did the usual dump cake thing in my crockpot, and voila! A wonderful dessert.

This is best served up warm. It's fine cold, but the taste was definitely better warm!!

Spray slow cooker (4-6 qt) insert with non-stick spray.

Add the cans of fruits (including liquid), cherries and coconut; stir to combine.

Top the fruits with the dry cake mix.

Drizzle melted butter on top of the cake mix.

Cover and cook on HI 4-6 hours, LOW 6-8 hours.

Serve warm.

Serves about 8.
