Turkey Trot To Come

Before I say anything else this morning, I must take a moment to thank all of you.
Thank you for the prayers, generous donations and loving words you sent to James’ family yesterday. Every day I am grateful to you guys for reading this blog and when you pour your hearts out and offer your prayers and words of comfort to people you’ve never met, I am left with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you.

I hope your Thanksgiving and Hanukkah-Eve is off to a good start this morning! Early this afternoon, Ryan, Sadie and I will pile into Ryan’s car and head to Sarasota where we’ll be spending the holiday with my in-laws.

,%20but%20I%20know%20it%20will%20still%20be%20a%20blast.%20The%20Turkey%20Trot%20is%20my%20favorite%20race%20of%20the%20year%20because%20everyone%20just%20runs%20to%20have%20fun.%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20laid%20back%20race%20and%20every%20year%20we%20see%20people%20run%20with%20strollers%20and%20dogs%20but%20we%E2%80%99ve%20always%20left%20Sadie%20at%20home.%20This%20year%20we%E2%80%99ll%20be%20bringing%20her%20so%20it%20will%20be%20Sadie%E2%80%99s%20inaugural%20Turkey%20Trot.%20She%E2%80%99s%20psyched!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPuppy%20Sadie%20always%20makes%20me%20smile.%20What%20a%20cutie%20pie!%20I%20can%20still%20remember%20when%20she%20didn%E2%80%99t%20know%20how%20to%20walk%20on%20a%20leash%20and%20our%20first%20walks%20around%20the%20block%20were%20pretty%20comical.%20Sadie%20would%20clumsily%20walk%20about%20four%20feet%20before%20she%E2%80%99d%20sit%20down%20in%20the%20middle%20of%20the%20sidewalk.%20Ryan%20would%20then%20pick%20her%20up%20and%20carry%20her%20for%20another%2010%20feet%20before%20he%20put%20her%20back%20on%20the%20ground%20and%20tried%20to%20coerce%20her%20into%20walking%20again.%20She%E2%80%99d%20walk%20another%20four%20feet%20before%20she%E2%80%99d%20plop%20down%20in%20the%20middle%20of%20the%20sidewalk%20again%20and%20look%20up%20at%20us.%20Practice%20makes%20perfect,%20I%20guess!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWorkout%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToday%E2%80%99s%20workout%20was%20a%20good%20one!%20I%20updated%20the%20functional%20training%20whiteboard%20at%20my%20gym%20when%20I%20was%20working%20last%20night%20and%20followed%20the%20workout%20I%20posted%20this%20morning.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know%20the%20directions%20are%20kind%20of%20hard%20to%20read,%20but%20they%20say%20to%20complete%20each%20exercise%20for%2045%20seconds,%20followed%20by%2015%20seconds%20of%20rest%20for%20two%20to%20three%20total%20rounds.%20And%20yes,%20my%20turkey%20drawings%20could%20use%20some%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBreakfast%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20Ryan%20and%20I%20arrived%20home%20from%20the%20gym,%20I%20assembled%20a%20fast%20breakfast.%20We%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want%20to%20do%20any%20grocery%20shopping%20this%20week%20since%20we%E2%80%99re%20going%20out%20of%20town%20today,%20so%20I%20made%20the%20best%20breakfast%20I%20could%20with%20the%20food%20we%20had%20on%20hand.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKey%20lime%20pie%20Greek%20yogurt%20+%20Dried%20mulberries%20+%20Slivered%20almonds%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlus%20the%20end%20of%20a%20bag%20of%20raw%20cashews%20and%20an%20overly%20ripe%20banana!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99m%20ready%20to%20get%20this%20show%20on%20the%20road.%20See%20ya%20from%20Sarasota!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EQuestion%20of%20the%20Morning%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20are%20your%20Thanksgiving%20and/or%20Hanukkah%20plans?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWill%20you%20be%20participating%20in%20a%20Turkey%20Trot%20or%20another%20active%20activity%20tomorrow?%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
