...original%20box,%20in%20my%20cupboard%20above%20the%20fridge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20silly!!!!%20It's%20wonderful%20for%20slicing%20bread%20and%20makes%20it%20so%20much%20easier...I%20mean,%20look%20what%20I%20was%20able%20to%20do....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey're%20not%20all%20perfect,%20and%20the%20exact%20same%20width...but%20so%20much%20better%20than%20what%20I%20can%20do%20on%20my%20own.%20Hey,%20I'm%20just%20excited%20that%20I%20don't%20have%20any%20slices%20that%20are%201/2%22%20wide%20on%20one%20side%20and%20paper%20thin%20on%20the%20other%20side.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo...that's%20what%20I%20started%20off%20with%20for%20my%20panini's.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20I%20don't%20have%20a%20panini%20maker.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20that's%20ok...cuz%20I%20do%20have%20an%20old%20indoor%20grill%20and%20a%20heavy%20cast%20iron%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETuscan-Style%20Chicken%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E12%20slices%20of%20cheese%20(I%20used%20mozzarella,%20but%20wanted%20to%20use%20provolone.%20What%20ever%20you%20use,%20make%20them%20on%20the%20thick%20side%20so%20they%20don't%20melt%20off%20the%20sandwich%20before%20the%20bread%20is%20done%20grilling)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6%20lettuce%20leaves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20chicken%20in%20your%20slow%20cooker.%20Add%20the%20garlic,%20roasted%20bell%20pepper%20and%20slat.%20Cover%20and%20cook%20on%20the%20low%20setting%20for%206%20-%207%20hours.%20Or%20if%20you%20want%20this%20for%20lunch%20and%20don't%20feel%20like%20getting%20up%20at%204am....cook%20it%20on%20high%20for%20about%204%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20the%20directions%20said%20to%20remove%20the%20chicken%20and%20shred%20it%20with%202%20forks.%20I%20didn't%20have%20to%20shred%20it.%20The%20chicken%20fell%20apart%20on%20contact.%20I%20applied%20a%20little%20pressure%20and%20poof...it%20was%20%22shredded%22.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20small%20bowl,%20combine%20the%20mayo%20and%20pesto%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20one%20of%20my%20most%20favorite%20sandwich%20condiments%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20up%20your%20grill%20or%20skillet%20(which%20over%20you're%20going%20to%20use)%20over%20medium-high%20heat%20and%20lets%20start%20stacking%20this%20sandwich.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrush%20one%20side%20of%20a%20slice%20of%20bread%20with%20some%20olive%20oil.%20put%20it%20down,%20olive%20oil%20side%20down,%20and%20spread%20the%20other%20side%20with%20the%20pesto-mayo.%20Add%20a%20slice%20of%20cheese...then%20scoop%20about%201/3%20cup%20of%20chicken%20onto%20the%20cheese,%20top%20with%20tomato,%20lettuce%20and%20more%20cheese.%20Spread%20some%20pesto-mayo%20on%20another%20slice.%20Finally,%20brush%20the%20top%20of%20your%20sandwich%20with%20olive%20oil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20grill%20/%20skillet%20from%20the%20flame%20and%20spray%20with%20cooking%20spray%20or%20treat%20with%20oil.%20Carefully%20place%20your%20sandwich%20on%20the%20grill%20/%20skillet.%20Balance%20a%20skillet%20(one%20that%20is%20smaller%20than%20the%20one%20you're%20cooking%20in,%20if%20using%20a%20skillet)%20on%20top%20of%20your%20sandwich.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKeep%20an%20eye%20on%20it%20cuz....the%20skillet%20just%20might%20slide%20right%20off%20your%20sandwich,%20taking%20the%20top%20half%20with%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%20a%20mess.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETrust%20me%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20a%20couple%20of%20minutes,%20carefully%20check%20the%20bottom%20slice%20of%20bread%20to%20see%20if%20it's%20toasted.%20If%20so,%20flip%20it.%20(ya,%20have%20fun%20with%20that.%20Don't%20burn%20your%20fingers%20and%20don't%20let%20it%20fall%20apart....hahahahaha.%20No%20seriously...you%20want%20to%20do%20it%20carefully%20but%20not%20too%20slowly....thus%20giving%20it%20time%20to%20fall%20apart%20(again)).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20a%20few%20more%20minutes,%20your%20panini%20should%20be%20done%20and%20cheese%20should%20be%20all%20nice%20and%20melty%20and%20oooh%20man....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20the%20yummiest%20sandwiches%20I've%20had%20in%20a%20long%20time.%20And%20filling%20and%20satisfying.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20should%20all%20check%20out%20what%20the%20other%20HBin5'ers%20have%20done%20with%20their%20assignment.%20Head%20on%20over%20to%20Michelle's%20at%20BigBlackDogs.net%20and%20you'll%20see%20links%20to%20everyone's%20versions%20of%20this%20wonderful,%20easy%20loaf%20of%20bread.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EComing%20up%20in%20the%20near%20future....Garlic%20Knots%20and%20Pita.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
