Receta Valentine Pretzel Buttons {Five Ingredient Friday}
Pssst…guess what?
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! If you are reading this through e-mail, you are probably already celebrating it…so happy love day to you ;)
These cute little treats are floating around Pinterest like crazy. Truth be known, they have been on my boards for quite some time now. Like most every recipe on my 'to try' boards, they have remained there until today. Once you see how crazy easy these are to make though, you can see why they are making their rounds.
10 minutes and 3 ingredients are all you need!
Had I known these weren't going to be time consuming, I would have made them for my children's classmates this year. Due to my laziness however, everyone in their classes will be getting a bunch of pre-made/manufactured Valentine fruit snacks and Twizzlers. I know, I'm such a bad mom! However, it is what it is and now I know to definitely make these for next year.
The ones you see in the pictures will be passed out to our neighbors tonight…unless Husband Man and my two children eat them first. Hey…it's happened before.
Word has it that these are also very versatile and can be made with any type of Hershey Kiss and any type of M&M. Can you imagine the holiday possibilities? Easter…Christmas…Thanksgiving…yummy! I will definitely try them all!
So if you are still undecided about what to make for Valentine's Day tomorrow, run to your grocery store, purchase these items, and make these. You will not regret it. Promise :)
Valentine Pretzel Buttons
(makes 72 buttons)
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of square shaped butter snap pretzels
- 1 (11 oz.) bag of Hershey's Hugs Kisses
- 1 bag of Valentine's Colored Milk Chocolate M&M's
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
2. On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, place the pretzels in a row, about 1/2 inch apart.
3. Place a Hershey Hugs on the top of each pretzel.
4. Place cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
5. Take cookie sheet out and while the pretzels are still warm, gently push an M&M into each one.
6. Transfer them to a plate line with parchment paper and place in the fridge to cool.
**Libby's Notes: Don't leave these out at room temperature to solidify because they will end up a gooey mess. Your best bet is to let them cool in the fridge until it's time to eat or serve.
