Vegetable Medley In Cheese Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 c. onion
  • 1 tbsp. and 1 1/2 teaspoon all purpose flour
  • 1 c. skim lowfat milk
  • 2 ounce. sharp Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 c. each of cooked broccoli and sliced carrots
  • 1/2 c. cooked spiral macaroni

Direcciones

  1. Heat butter over medium heat till bubbly and warm, add in onion and cook about 2 min. Add in flour and stir till completely combined.
  2. Remove pan from heat and stir in lowfat milk and return to medium heat and cook. Stirring constantly till mix is smooth and thickened. Reduce to low heat and add in cheese and seasonings; stir constantly till cheese is melted and mix is thoroughly blended.
  3. Add in vegetables and macaroni. Stir gently till macaroni and vegetables are thoroughly coated with sauce and heated. Makes 2 servings.
