Receta Veggie Bean Burger
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Cooked beans (I used red, black beans and cowpeas )
- 1 Medium sized Potato, cooked and mashed
- 1/4 Cup Peas (Fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 Cup Bread crumbs
- 1 Medium sized Onion, finely chopped
- 3-4 Cloves Garlic, minced
- Few fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Paprika | Red Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Potato spice mix
- Salt to taste
- 3 Hamburger buns
- Sliced Onions
- Sliced Tomatoes
- Lettuce
Mayo, Mustard or any sauce
Instructions
Heat a tbsp of oil in a skillet. Sauté the onions, garlic and peas for about 5 minutes.
Mix everything in a bowl and mash it well. Once it is mixed well, cover it with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least half an hour.
Take it out and shape it into patties.
Heat the skillet and drizzle with oil. Once it is hot, add the patties and cook on both sides until it is brown on the outside and cooked through.
Slice the hamburger in half. Spread any sauce of your choice on the inside of the burgers. Arrange the patties, Onions, tomatoes, Lettuce and any other additional toppings you have.
Close and press or insert a tooth pick. Serve with some ketchup on the side.
