Receta Vermicelli Kesari / Semiya Kesari / Vermicelli Dessert
Vermicelli Kesari is my favorite dessert recipe. I used to eat, eat and eat until I get sick. Its very simple, uses a very few ingredients yet tastes great. I bet you will love it too! Lets see the preparation method.
INGREDIENTS
- Vermicelli - 2 cups
- Water - 3 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom pods - 5
- Cashew nuts - 5
- Orange food color - A pinch (optional)
- Ghee - 2 spoons
PREPARATION METHOD
In a pan add a spoon of ghee and roast the vermicelli until it turns golden brown.
Remove from flame and set aside.
Now in the pan add ghee roast cashews until they turn brown and remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan add 3 cup of water, crushed cardamom pods and let it boil.
After it starts boiling add sugar and stir till it dissolves well.
Add the food color and mix well.
Then add the roasted vermicelli and cook n low flame for 5 minutes or until the vermicelli gets cooked.
Add the roasted cashews and stir well.
Remove from flame and serve!!
Yummy Vermicelli Kesari is now ready!!
