- Cream butter; gradually add in sugar, beating at medium speed till light and fluffy. Beat in Large eggs, molasses, and buttermilk. Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a small bowl.
- Dissolve soda in boiling water. Add in flour mix to creamed mix alternately with soda water, beginning and ending with flour mix. Beat well.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min or possibly till toothpick inserted comes out clean.
