Wasabi Smashed Red Potatoes

1 1/4 lb red potatoes, 2 tsp wasabi paste, 3 tbs butter, 1/4 cup whole milk, white pepper/salt to taste.
Cut potatoes into eigths, cover with water and season with salt.
Cover and boil for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash. Combine milk and wasabi paste; add with butter and salt/pepper to taste. Stir to completely combine.
Makes a nice side dish to anything Japanese or Asian. I served with fried wasabi green peas to add some crunch.
