Receta Watermelon-Moscato Slush {Summer Fun with #BlackBoxWines}
I love so many things about summer. Outdoor cooking ... Concerts in the park ... 4th of July fireworks ... Trips to the beach ... or, to the lake ... Back-yard gatherings ... There are always so many fun adventures to be had!
Know what else I love about summer? Watermelon. Yep, it's one of my favorite summer treats. Oh, and I love sipping refreshing, crisp, light-bodied wines ... they're just perfect for helping beat the summer heat, too. And then I had a crazy idea ... one of those totally brilliantly crazy ideas. How about putting watermelon and wine together? Wouldn't that make the perfect refreshingly delicious, fun summer treat?
For a watermelon and wine lover, the answer is YES!
And so, with the help of one big ol' sweet-&-juicy watermelon and Black Box Wines Moscato, this fantabulous Watermelon-Moscato Slush was born.
With four simple ingredients, and just a little whirling in a food processor or blender, this slush whips up in a flash.
Simply combine some watermelon cubes, a bit of sugar, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice in a food processor {or blender} ...
... and give the mixture a whirl to create a watermelon puree.
Strain the puree to remove any pulp hunks ...
... then mix in a little Black Box Wines Moscato, and freeze ... that's all!
When you're ready to enjoy this cool-&-refreshing summer sipper, scrape some of the slush into a glass and pour in some more wine. Then enjoy the watermelon fun!
Headed out to the park, to the lake, or perhaps to the beach and want to bring this along? What a great idea. Toss the slush and a bottle of wine into the cooler,and ... oh, WAIT ... no glass allowed at your destination??
No worries ... grab a box of Black Box Wine instead! ... no glass involved. And no corkscrew involved, either. Yep, Black Box Wines are totally portable and destination-friendly that way. For a crowd, grab their 3-liter box, which is equivalent to four 'standard' bottles of wine. For treating just yourself, take along their 500 ml 'Tetra Pak,' which is equivalent to about three glasses of wine. {Or grab two, if you're being nice and treating a friend, too.}
And if you don't drink the whole box, no worries there, either. Once opened, Black Box Wines stay fresh for about a month. How great is that? {Oh, and for cooking with wine, this is truly perfect ... no more worrying about using only a cup or so of wine in a recipe, and the rest of the bottle going 'bad' on me before I can finish it up. I've got a month. Awesome.}
So, what are you waiting for? Whip up a batch of this refreshingly delicious Watermelon-Moscato Slush, and get ready for some summer fun!
