West Virginia Jam Cake

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. jam (blackberry or possibly strawberry)
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 c. minced pecans
  • 1 c. minced raisins
  • 1 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 lg. grated apple
  • 1 c. minced dates

Direcciones

  1. Cream sugar and Crisco. Add in beaten Large eggs; beat well. Combine buttermilk and jam. Add in alternately with sifted flour and soda to creamy mix; beat well. Add in nuts, raisins, coconut, grated apple and dates. Stir well till all is distributed through batter.
  2. Bake in three 9 x 1 1/2 inch pans that have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min. Cold and fill with filling.
