While getting my nails done this weekend I noticed how much stronger they have become. Kim, the lady that does my nails, noticed that as well and that got me thinking about my eating habits and the beauty benefits I’ve been redeeming. My weak and brittle nails are strong, my hair is growing like it’s a weed and for the first time EVER I can proudly say I love my skin. Thank you, fruits and veggies. I love you. So let’s see what it is I’ve been eating. Thanks Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting. I started my morning with my ideal breakfast on the go – a Green Smoothie. I used 1 banana, 5 kale leaves, handful of spinach, ½ avocado, 1 orange, 5 strawberries and about 1 1/2 cup of almond milk. This made two large smoothies for hubby and I to share. Just like that I’ve had tons of vitamins before I even got to work. As always to save myself time, I put all the ingredients into the blender the night before. In the morning I simply blended it all together with almond milk and enjoyed this concoction on my way to work. My morning’s are not complete without coffee, currently pumpkin flavored coffee is a must. For lunch I ordered a grilled chicken greek salad wheat wrap. A half was all it took to fill me up and I shared the rest with a coworker. When I got home the first thing I did was eat half of the avocado left over from the smoothie this morning. I just sprinkled a little salt on. It makes a great snack. I also had a few of my favorite Kale Chips. For dinner we revisited one of my favorite recipes, Winter Vegetable Soup. Packed with nutrients, veggies and tons of flavor this soup is both delicious and filling. Right before bedtime I had a Grande cup of Skin Detox Tea by Yogi Teas.
