Receta Whiskey Glazed Carrots
Carrots are in season right now.
In my younger years I don’t think I liked them that much. Come to think of it, I don’t think I was into vegetables at all. Some I loved like fresh corn and lima beans. Others like canned green beans not so much. I am still not keen on canned green beans.
Anyway, these carrots are delicious. I was working on a Saint Patricks day post and had a bit of extra Irish Whiskey and thought I would make this.
I have also teamed up with a few fellow bloggers and pooled our resources to giveaway a Kitchen Aid Mixer.
Yes, you heard me right, a Kitchen Aid.
So here are the particulars you need to know to be eligible to win.
The giveaway is for a 5 QT Artisan mixer in the color “Caviar” which is a metallic black. There is no choice of color.
Mixer is equipped with stainless steel bowl, flat mixing paddle, dough hook and wire whisk attachment.

Whiskey Glazed Carrots
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 large carrot peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons Irish Whiskey
- 1/4 cup parsley chopped
Directions:
In a small bowl combine the sugar pepper and salt. Set aside.
Heat the oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the carrots in a single layer and sprinkle with the sugar mixture. Cook over medium for about 3 minutes.
Move the skillet off of the heat and add the Whiskey. Return back to the stove and cook another 2 minutes, carrots should be browned on both sides and nicely browned.
Garnish with parley and serve hot.
