White Bean Bisque

Good hearty soup, nice on a winters evening!

Ingredientes

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 Tb. butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 8 oz. slice precooked ham, diced
  • 2 cans white kidney beans, rinsed
  • 2 cans corn
  • 2 Cups half and half
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 bay leaf

Direcciones

  1. In a 5 quart dutch oven, saute the onions in butter until tender.
  2. Add garlic and ham, cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Remove bay leaf before serving.
