White Cake With Strawberries Andchocolate Glaze

Ingredientes

  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 T sifted cake flour
  • 1/2 c. superfine sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 c. sliced small fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 whole strawberry

Direcciones

  1. Coat a 10-inch flan pan with cooking spray; set aside. Put together flour, sugar, and baking pwdr in a medium bowl; make a well in center of mix. Put together oil, water, and vanilla; add in to dry ingredients, stirring well. Set aside.Beat egg whites (at room temperature) at high speed of an electric mixer till frothy; add in cream of tartar and beat till stiff peaks form. Fold egg white mix into flour mix.
  2. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min; remove from pan, and cool completely on a wire rack.
  3. Arrange strawberries over the cake and set aside.
  4. Place chocolate morsels in a heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; seal bag. Submerge bag in boiling water till chocolate melts. Snip a tiny hole in the end of bag, using scissors. Drizzle chocolate over strawberries. Garnish with a whole strawberry. Yield: 8 servings.
