Receta White Chocolate Coconut Nests and Jello Beans
These cute little white chocolate coconut nests are so fun and take only minutes to make. Here are a few ways to use these "nests"
1. Place the filled white chocolate "nests" around your Easter cake.
2. Use them as individual place settings, placing one on each dinner plate.
3. Make a centerpiece in the middle of your Easter dinner table. Place them on Easter grass and surround them with colored eggs.
4. Use a pipe cleaner to make a handle and make mini Easter baskets.
5. Or you can just eat them:) They are delicious!!
- White Chocolate Coconut Nests tinted Green~
- 4 oz. white chocolate
- 14 oz.sweetened shredded coconut
- non-stick cooking spray
- 5-6 drops of green food coloring
large plastic baggie
20 solid chocolate eggs, jelly beans, or Easter candy of your choice.
1. Spray 2 mini muffin pans with non-stick cooking spray, 24 total.
2. Place shredded coconut in large baggie, add drops of green food coloring. Seal bag and shake until coconut reaches desired color.
3. Place white chocolate in a microwave safe glass bowl. Microwave on high for 30-60 seconds or until chocolate is melted. Stir until chocolate is smooth.
4. Add shredded coconut and mix well.
5. Place a tablespoon of coconut mixture into each muffin tin cup, add more if needed until mixture has been evenly distributed.
6. Press an indentation into each "nest"
7. Place the muffin pans in the fridge for at least an hour and until coconut is set.
8. Once set, remove from fridge. Carefully remove "nests" Add jelly beans, mini solid chocolate eggs or candy of your choice.
Jell-o Beans
Non-stick cooking spray
1-1/4 cups boiling water (Do not add cold water)
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-o Brand Gelatin, any flavor
Using non-stick cooking spray, lightly spray inside of bean mold. Place mold, filled side up, on a tray.
Stir boiling water into gelatin in bowl, stir at least 3 minutes or until completely dissolved. Pour into liquid measuring cup. Slowly pour gelatin into mold, filling each bean completely.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.Using a moist fingertips, gently scoop beans out of mold. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Makes 82 Jello Beans.
Note: 1 pkg. (8-serving size) Jello gelatin can be substituted for 2 pkg. (4 serving size each)
