Receta White Chocolate Cranberry Bliss Bars
by Carole Jones

So if you were a busy little elf and made all 10 of My Must-Have Christmas Cookies from last week, I'm afraid you will have to add just one more to your holiday baking. (If you seriously made all 10 of them, will you bring some by my house please? I've only made three and with my daughter's wedding a few days after Christmas, I won't be making many more!)

Don't even try to tell me you don't have time to bake one more batch. These bars are worth every little bit of your sanity. Truly.

A dense, chewy blondie packed with white chocolate and cranberries. Then, just to send them over the top, a white chocolate cream cheese frosting gets slathered all over and topped with more cranberries and white chocolate. These are an amazing copy cat recipe for Starbuck's Cranberry Bliss bars.

Blondies:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray.

2. In a large bowl, melt the butter for one minute in the microwave then stir in brown sugar. Allow to cool a bit then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and mix just until combined. Stir in the cranberries and white chocolate.

3. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 18-21 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Do not over bake!! Cool completely.

4. Prepare the frosting by mixing together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add half of the melted white chocolate then evenly spread over the cooled bars. Sprinkle on the cranberries then drizzle the remaining chocolate over the top. Let the frosting set before cutting and serving.
