Receta White Christmas Living (No)-Egg Nog
This year Mom-Mom is going to "the kids" and spending Christmas with my beautiful family, including my precious 4.5 year old grand-princess!
I created this living egg nog for them last Christmas, and everyone loved it. So, I'm packing my Vitamix Baby and taking it on the road. Dehydrating lots of cookies and brownies to share with my loved ones. Last year I made cranberry and egg-nog kale chips that were divine. As always, feel free to interchange ingredients if you don't have any of them. I'm sure it will come out equally decadent! Here's my version:
- Living (No)-Egg Nog
- Ingredients for Nut Milk:
- 1/2 cup almonds (soaked overnight and peeled)
- 1/4 cup macadamia nuts
- 2 cups water
- My GrandPrincess, CharliAdditional Ingredients
- 3 Medjool Dates (pitted) (optional..increase sweetener if not using)
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 2 Tbsp WHITE chia seeds (ground) -dark will darken color, but can be used.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (3 drops *Medicine Flower Vanilla Extract)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (or more to taste)
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp grade B maple syrup (or your favorite sweetener)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 drop Medicine Flower Rum Extract (or 1/3 tsp liguid rum extract) optional)
- 2 drops **Medicine Flower Cinnamon extract (optional)

Directions:
1. Blend almonds and macadamia nuts with water until creamy. Strain in nut milk bag or cheesecloth to remove pulp. (Save pulp for other recipes. )
2. Blend milk with remaining ingredients.
3. Option: make this a Green Eggnog by adding some kale or greens.
4. Add several ice cubes and blend to chill.
5. Pour into glasses, sprinkle with cinnamon and grated nutmeg, and serve.
