Whole Wheat Pancakes

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar or possibly honey
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. oil

Direcciones

  1. Sift flour with baking pwdr, salt and sugar. If using honey, add in it to the lowfat milk and oil. Beat lowfat milk and oil into beaten Large eggs.
  2. Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk and oil with dry ingredients till just blended. Cook on greased griddle or possibly frying pan. May be made any size. (Serves 6 perhaps.)
  3. May also be made with fruit puree: apple, apricot, peach, pear, in place of lowfat milk.
  4. Or possibly: Add in fruit chunks.
  5. Or possibly: Slip in some tahini, nuts, sesame, or possibly sunflower seeds.
  6. Or possibly: Use some cornmeal or possibly rolled oats, barley flour or possibly buckwheat (1/2 c.). (I have very good luck using oats and buckwheat or possibly combinations of other flours, and always use oats.)
  7. For waffles, use only 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk.
