Is this not the most stunning location for a summer wedding?
Michaela and Kyle exchanged vows early Saturday evening on the top of a mountain in Winter Park, Colorado. The weather was perfect, the bride was absolutely gorgeous and the way the groom looked at her when she walked down the aisle made me cry.
Our day began just after 10:30 a.m. when the bridesmaids met up with the bride, her mother and her sister at The Salon at Winter Park to get our hair done. We snacked on bagels and fresh fruit and sipped on mimosas made with grapefruit juice while we took turns in the salon chair.

%20which%20I%20think%20we%20all%20really%20appreciated.%20Everyone%20could%20choose%20a%20dress%20that%20made%20them%20feel%20more%20comfortable,%20whether%20it%20be%20a%20strapless,%20v-neck%20or%20one-shoulder%20dress.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMichaela%E2%80%99s%20dress%20was%20breathtaking%20and%20when%20she%20walked%20out%20of%20the%20bedroom%20to%20show%20us,%20I%20cried.%20I%20think%20we%20all%20did!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMichaela%20looked%20so%20beautiful%20and%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20help%20but%20think%20back%20over%20our%2020%20years%20of%20friendship.%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20believe%20I%20was%20looking%20at%20Michaela%20the%20bride.%20She%20looked%20gorgeous!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20Michaela%20was%20in%20her%20gown,%20it%20was%20time%20to%20head%20to%20the%20ski%20lift%20to%20ride%20up%20to%20the%20mountaintop%20for%20pictures.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20we%20arrived%20at%20the%20top%20of%20the%20mountain,%20Michaela%20and%20Kyle%20met%20privately%20with%20the%20photographer%20for%20their%20first%20look%20pictures.%20Of%20course%20we%20made%20Michaela%20give%20us%20all%20the%20details%20before%20the%20ceremony%20and%20she%20said%20she%20walked%20up%20behind%20Kyle%20and%20tapped%20him%20on%20the%20back.%20When%20he%20turned%20around%20and%20saw%20her%20he%20cried%20which%20made%20all%20of%20us%20smile!%20You%20gotta%20love%20a%20groom%20that%20cries%20at%20the%20sight%20of%20his%20bride!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20Michaela%20and%20Kyle%20were%20taking%20their%20pictures,%20we%20rounded%20up%20the%20bouquets%20for%20the%20bridesmaid%20pictures%20that%20were%20supposed%20to%20happen%20immediately%20after%20the%20first%20look%20photos.%20It%20was%20then%20that%20we%20realized%20Michaela%E2%80%99s%20bouquet%20was%20missing!%20Everyone%20was%20responsible%20for%20bringing%20their%20own%20bouquet%20up%20to%20the%20top%20of%20the%20mountain,%20but%20somehow%20the%20bride%E2%80%99s%20bouquet%20got%20completely%20overlooked.%20Yikes!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20a%20quick%20call%20to%20Ryan%20who%20was%20hanging%20out%20with%20the%20other%20bridesmaid%E2%80%99s%20husbands%20and%20boyfriends%20after%20a%20day%20of%20mountain%20biking%20and%20gave%20him%20directions%20about%20where%20to%20look%20for%20the%20missing%20bouquet%20in%20Michaela%E2%80%99s%20parents%E2%80%99%20suite.%20He%20had%20the%20woman%20at%20the%20front%20desk%20of%20the%20hotel%20escort%20him%20to%20the%20room,%20grabbed%20the%20bouquet%20and%20headed%20immediately%20up%20the%20ski%20lift%20to%20deliver%20it%20to%20the%20bride%20safe%20and%20sound.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPhew!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20the%20bride%E2%80%99s%20bouquet%20back%20in%20her%20hands,%20we%20walked%20around%20the%20other%20side%20of%20the%20lodge%20to%20take%20pictures%20with%20the%20most%20gorgeous%20mountain%20backdrop.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20pictures%20done,%20we%20headed%20back%20inside%20the%20lodge%20as%20the%20guests%20started%20to%20arrive%20and%20hid%20the%20bride%20in%20a%20big%20closet%20so%20no%20one%20would%20see%20her%20before%20the%20ceremony%20began%20at%205:30%20p.m.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20this%20point,%20all%20of%20us%20were%20absolutely%20buzzing!%20It%20was%20almost%20time%20for%20Michaela%20to%20get%20married!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESoon%20the%20music%20started%20playing%20and%20it%20was%20time%20for%20us%20to%20walk%20down%20the%20aisle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMichaela%E2%80%99s%20adorable%20nephew,%20Seamus,%20walked%20down%20the%20aisle%20right%20before%20her%20carrying%20two%20bright%20flowers%20to%20deliver%20to%20the%20mother%20of%20the%20bride%20and%20the%20mother%20of%20the%20groom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20mother%20of%20the%20groom%E2%80%99s%20name%20is%20Jackie%20and%20Seamus%20also%20has%20an%20Uncle%20Jack,%20so%20he%20got%20a%20little%20confused%20about%20who%20was%20supposed%20to%20get%20the%20second%20flower%20after%20he%20gave%20the%20first%20one%20to%20his%20grandma.%20It%20was%20adorable%20to%20watch%20him%20walk%20over%20to%20his%20dad,%20his%20Uncle%20Jack%20and%20eventually%20make%20his%20way%20to%20Jackie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20it%20was%20time%20for%20Michaela%E2%80%99s%20father%20to%20walk%20her%20down%20the%20aisle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20was%20gorgeous!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20she%20joined%20Kyle%20at%20the%20alter,%20the%20officiant%20began%20the%20ceremony%20and%20then%20told%20everyone%20that%20Michaela%20and%20Kyle%20wrote%20their%20own%20vows%20and%20wanted%20to%20recite%20them%20for%20each%20other.%20They%20did%20not%20wear%20a%20microphone%20during%20the%20ceremony%20so%20their%20vows%20were%20hard%20to%20hear,%20but%20I%20caught%20a%20few%20words%20of%20Kyle%E2%80%99s%20vows%20that%20made%20me%20cry.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhere%20I%20struggle,%20you%20shine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20so%20true.%20Michaela%20and%20Kyle%20seem%20to%20balance%20each%20other%20perfectly%20and%20are%20such%20a%20wonderful%20couple.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20now%20they%20are%20husband%20and%20wife!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECongratulations%20to%20Michaela%20and%20Kyle!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReception%20recap%20to%20come!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
