Yesterday's Chocolate Babka Frenchtoast

Ingredientes

  • 1 chocolate babka
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash of salt
  • 1 T unsalted butter
  • 1 T confectioners sugar

Direcciones

  1. Whisk egg and salt in a flat bowl or possibly deep plate. At the same time, heat butter in a small skillet, on medium heat.Slice 2 1" pcs of Chocolate Babka. Carefully place each piece of Babka in the egg mix, and rotate till all sides are coated. Again carefully, transfer each piece of Babka to the skillet, and cook on each side, for approximately 1-2 min, till golden on each side.
  2. Transfer to a plate or possibly platter, and dust with confectioners sugar.
  3. Other suggested toppings are: maple syrup, sliced strawberries, raspberries, orange slices, sliced banana, vanilla ice cream, and/or whipped cream.
  4. Editor's Note: If you do not have Chocolate Babka available, plain Babka may be substituted.
  5. Serves 1-2 people.
