%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20really%20excited%20about%20the%20book%20when%20I%20found%20that%20it%20contained%20the%20recipe%20for%20Cucumber%20and%20Poppy%20Seed%20Salad,%20which%20I%20had%20had%20at%20a%20cafe%20in%20the%20Lake%20District%20last%20summer%20and%20had%20been%20trying%20to%20find%20online%20without%20really%20knowing%20what%20to%20look%20for.%20I%20just%20searched%20for%20cucumber%20salad%20and%20surprise,%20surprise%20couldn't%20find%20the%20right%20recipe.%20Anyways,%20I%20digress.%20I'll%20be%20blogging%20about%20the%20salad%20some%20time%20soon.%20In%20the%20meantime%20let%20me%20share%20the%20recipe%20for%20Cauliflower%20and%20Cumin%20Fritters%20with%20Lime%20Yogurt%20which%20I%20made%20the%20other%20night.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20were%20really%20good%20and%20quite%20quick%20to%20do.%20I%20adapted%20the%20original%20Ottolenghi%20recipe%20as%20I%20don't%20like%20parsley%20and%20don't%20like%20frying%20in%20loads%20of%20oil.%20Next%20time%20I'll%20also%20definitely%20add%20some%20chillies,%20as%20the%20fritters%20are%20sweet%20from%20the%20cauliflower%20and%20tart%20from%20the%20lime%20and%20the%20yoghurt,%20but%20they%20really%20need%20some%20heat%20in%20my%20opinion.%20So%20here's%20my%20adapted%20recipe,%20in%20which%20I%20have%20already%20included%20chillies,%20as%20I'm%20sure%20they'll%20make%20them%20perfect.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECauliflower%20and%20Cumin%20Fritters%20with%20Lime%20Yogurt%20(serves%204)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20fritters:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20yoghurt%20sauce%20combine%20the%20yoghurt,%20coriander,%20lime%20juice%20and%20zest%20and%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20bowl%20and%20stir%20until%20well%20mixed.%20Season%20to%20taste%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20fritters%20put%20the%20cauliflower%20in%20a%20pan%20of%20boiling%20salted%20water%20and%20cook%20for%20about%2015%20minutes.%20You%20want%20it%20to%20go%20really%20soft%20so%20that%20it%20will%20fall%20apart%20when%20you%20add%20it%20to%20the%20batter%20later.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20bowl%20whisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20coriander,%20garlic,%20shallots,%20chillies,%20eggs,%20cumin,%20cinnamon%20and%20tumeric%20until%20you%20have%20a%20well%20combined%20and%20smooth%20thick%20batter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20cauliflower%20is%20cooked,%20drain%20it%20and%20add%20it%20to%20the%20batter.%20Stir%20with%20a%20fork%20until%20the%20florets%20have%20broken%20up%20into%20small%20pieces%20and%20everything%20is%20well%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20some%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20frying%20pan.%20Once%20hot%20spoon%20in%20the%20batter%20with%20a%20large%20serving%20spoon%20(about%20three%20tbsp%20per%20fritter).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20pan%20will%20hold%20about%20four%20fritters%20at%20a%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKeep%20checking%20the%20temperature%20of%20the%20oil.%20You%20don't%20want%20it%20to%20get%20too%20hot,%20so%20that%20the%20fritters%20will%20burn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFry%20for%20around%203-4%20minutes%20on%20each%20side,%20until%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20the%20pan,%20allow%20to%20drain%20on%20some%20kitchen%20paper%20and%20serve%20with%20the%20yoghurt%20sauce%20and%20some%20salad%20or%20stuff%20them%20into%20a%20pita%20pocket.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
