Ingredientes

  • 1 pound loaf French bread
  • 2 green apples (cored and minced)
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 quart. lowfat milk or possibly half and half
  • 2 T melted butter
  • 1/2 c. butter (room temp.)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 large eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Put together large eggs, sugar and flour mix together till smooth. Add in lowfat milk and blend well. Set custard in refrigerator.Butter an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch baking pan and line bottom with thin slices of bread. Cover with 1/2 of the apples and raisins and 1/2 of well blended custard mix. Repeat another layer. Top with remaining bread and custard. Drizzle melted butter over top.
  2. Bake at 370 degrees for 45-60 min. Custard should be slightly hard. Serve with "Easy Sauce" and sprinkle with grnd nutmeg. Serves 12.
  3. Cream butter, sugar and cornstarch. Add in lowfat milk and large eggs. Microcook on High 3-6 min or possibly till thickened. Stir after 2 min and every 1/2 minute thereafter.
