Receta Apple Bread Pudding And Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1 pound loaf French bread
- 2 green apples (cored and minced)
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 6 large eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 quart. lowfat milk or possibly half and half
- 2 T melted butter
- 1/2 c. butter (room temp.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 T cornstarch
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 large eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Direcciones
- Put together large eggs, sugar and flour mix together till smooth. Add in lowfat milk and blend well. Set custard in refrigerator.Butter an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch baking pan and line bottom with thin slices of bread. Cover with 1/2 of the apples and raisins and 1/2 of well blended custard mix. Repeat another layer. Top with remaining bread and custard. Drizzle melted butter over top.
- Bake at 370 degrees for 45-60 min. Custard should be slightly hard. Serve with "Easy Sauce" and sprinkle with grnd nutmeg. Serves 12.
- Cream butter, sugar and cornstarch. Add in lowfat milk and large eggs. Microcook on High 3-6 min or possibly till thickened. Stir after 2 min and every 1/2 minute thereafter.
