Ingredientes

  • Pastry: buy it premade as in pilsbury or go custless
  • filling:
  • 2 cups grated,peeled carrots
  • 1 medium yellow onion finely diced
  • 1 cup finely chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 1 cup grated cheddar flavoured soy cheese
  • 1 cup large flake nutritional yeast (find at most health food stores)
  • 1 cup crumbled soft tofu
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/3 cupoil
  • 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 3 large cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp dried basil or pesto
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • pepper

Direcciones

  1. Roll out crust lay into a deepdish 9inch pie plate
  2. For the filling preheat oven to 350
  3. Steam the carrots
  4. In a medium bowl combine carrots, onions parsley soy cheese, yeast, tofu, quinoa, oil tamari, or soy sauce,garlic, marjoram, basil, cayenne and black pepper
  5. Stir well
  6. Tip the filling into the prepared pie crust place on a baking sheet. and bake the pie in the center of the oven until golden brown for 40 minutes. Let the pie cool for 15minutes before slices
