Receta carrot quinoa pie
Ingredientes
- Pastry: buy it premade as in pilsbury or go custless
- filling:
- 2 cups grated,peeled carrots
- 1 medium yellow onion finely diced
- 1 cup finely chopped flat leaf parsley
- 1 cup grated cheddar flavoured soy cheese
- 1 cup large flake nutritional yeast (find at most health food stores)
- 1 cup crumbled soft tofu
- 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/3 cupoil
- 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 3 large cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 tsp dried basil or pesto
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- pepper
Direcciones
- Roll out crust lay into a deepdish 9inch pie plate
- For the filling preheat oven to 350
- Steam the carrots
- In a medium bowl combine carrots, onions parsley soy cheese, yeast, tofu, quinoa, oil tamari, or soy sauce,garlic, marjoram, basil, cayenne and black pepper
- Stir well
- Tip the filling into the prepared pie crust place on a baking sheet. and bake the pie in the center of the oven until golden brown for 40 minutes. Let the pie cool for 15minutes before slices
