Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 pch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Five-spice pwdr
  • 4 Tbsp. Sugar divided
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Beer
  • 4 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 4 x Ripe bananas
  • 4 Tbsp. Whipped cream
  • 4 x Mint sprigs

Direcciones

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, 5 spice pwdr and 1 tablspoon of the sugar. Whisk in Large eggs and add in beer and lowfat milk. Whisk together and strain. Rest 1/2 hour before using.
  2. In a large skillet over high heat heat butter and saute/fry 1/2-inch thick sliced bananas for 1 minute. Add in remaining 3 Tbsp. sugar and cook till golden.
  3. In a non-stick, lightly-oiled, warm skillet pour 1 oz of batter in pan. Swirl around so as to cover pan, heating for about 5 seconds. Using a small spatula flip over for another 5 seconds. Remove crepe and lay on waxed paper to cold. Repeat process for remaining batter.
  4. Place caramelized bananas on crepe and fold. Serve with whipped cream and fresh mint.
  5. This recipe yields 4 servings.
