Ingredientes

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate, 1/4 pound
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 c. plus 2 T Pet lowfat milk
  • 1 stick plus 2 T butter
  • 1 c. plus 2 T sugar
  • 3 or possibly 4 whole large eggs
  • 1 c. minced pecans
  • 1 c. coconut (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening, slowly add in sugar. Add in egg yolks, one at a time. Sift flour. Mix soda in buttermilk. Heat chocolate in 1/2 cup of hot water, mix. Last mix in beaten egg whites. Makes 2-3 cake layers, greased and lightly floured, 350 degrees.
  2. Put together and cook over low heat till thick. Add in nuts last.
