Receta German Chocolate Cake And Icing

Ingredientes
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate, 1/4 pound
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. plus 2 T Pet lowfat milk
- 1 stick plus 2 T butter
- 1 c. plus 2 T sugar
- 3 or possibly 4 whole large eggs
- 1 c. minced pecans
- 1 c. coconut (optional)
Direcciones
- Cream shortening, slowly add in sugar. Add in egg yolks, one at a time. Sift flour. Mix soda in buttermilk. Heat chocolate in 1/2 cup of hot water, mix. Last mix in beaten egg whites. Makes 2-3 cake layers, greased and lightly floured, 350 degrees.
- Put together and cook over low heat till thick. Add in nuts last.
