Grandma Cooks Christmas Plum Pudding

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. light or possibly dark brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 3/4 c. sour lowfat milk (add in 1 teaspoon baking soda to sweet lowfat milk)
  • 1 box muscat raisins (separate)
  • 1/2 pound grnd suet
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr

Direcciones

  1. Mix sugar, Large eggs and lowfat milk first. Put remaining ingredients in except flour and raisins. Add in flour gradually, stirring as you go. Mix well. Add in raisins last. Grease containers and sprinkle flour on (use containers which you feel will give you manageable portions.) Do not fill to top, leave room for expansion.
  2. Steam for 3 hrs (in large covered steamer). This pudding can be kept indefinitely in the freezer, just thaw and place in steamer and reheat. Can be reheated over and over.
