Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Dry figs
  • 1 1/4 c. Red wine
  • 1 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 x Vanilla bean split
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 pt Vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 c. Crumbled butter cookies

Direcciones

  1. Soak the figs in cool water till plumped.
  2. Combine wine, water, sugar, vanilla bean, and cinnamon. Bring to a gentle boil and add in the figs. Cook gently for 20 to 30 min till very tender. Remove vanilla bean (save for another use, if you wish). Scoop out ice cream into pretty shallow bowls and top with a spoonful of the hot compote. Sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
