Ingredientes

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 sm dry red chile pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain (lovage) seeds
  • 1/2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

Direcciones

  1. Wash beans, trim off the ends, and cut them into half-inch pcs. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil, and add in the chile pepper; saute/fry for 2 min. Add in the ajwain, cumin, and mustard seeds; continue to saute/fry for another minute.
  3. Add in the beans, salt, cayenne pepper, and the turmeric. Mix the beans well with the spices, and saute/fry the green-bean mix for 5 - 10 min. Serve immediately.
  4. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
