%20to%20a%20wicked%20cool%20little%20pen%20type%20thingy%20that%20I%20got%20to%20put%20away%20on%20Tuesday.%20Such%20fun!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20whole%20point%20of%20me%20being%20at%20the%20Doc's%20office,%20was%20because%20I%20needed%20to%20fine%20tune%20myself.%20The%20medical%20world%20is%20a%20much%20different%20world.%20Precision%20is%20much%20more%20paramount%20than%20shucking%20a%20oyster%20in%20my%20world.%20If%20you%20bumble%20a%20phone%20number(which%20I%20did%20on%20numerous%20occasions,%20wow%20did%20I%20mention%20they%20are%20patient)%20you%20could%20inadvertently%20bill%20the%20wrong%20person,%20which%20opens%20up%20a%20whole%20new%20monstrous%20can%20of%20worms,%20do%20I%20need%20to%20mention%20insurance%20companies?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20best%20part%20of%20my%20whole%20experience%20was%20Linda%20(bless%20her%20heart)%20she%20for%20some%20reason,%20felt%20that%20she%20was%20being%20%22hard%22%20on%20me,%20and%20would%20explain%20that%20it%20was%20communicating.%20I%20am%20surprised,%20that%20at%20the%20first%20sign%20of%20my%20ineptitude,%20she%20did%20not%20drive%20down%20and%20smack%20me%20up%20aside%20the%20head.%20Because%20in%20my%20world%20(the%20chef%20world)%20he/she%20would%20strip%20me%20of%20all%20my%20dignity%20in%20front%20of%20my%20peers,%20and%20snicker%20on%20the%20way%20out.%20I%20have%20been%20there%20a%20time%20or%20two.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGerry,%20what%20can%20I%20say%20about%20her.%20She%20speaks%20my%20language%20and%20I%20speak%20hers.%20She%20is%20a%20natural%20born%20teacher.%20But,%20I%20think%20she%20is%20unaware%20of%20her%20talent.%20She%20gives%20me%20the%20valuable%20nuggets%20of%20information%20that%20speak%20volumes%20at%20the%20end%20of%20the%20day.%20Example:%20date%20and%20time%20of%20message:%20important,%20clean%20exam%20rooms,%20charts%20to%20dictation.%20Linda,%20I%20will%20always%20remember,%20make%20a%20copy%20of%20everything.%20When%20you%20are%20at%20the%20office,%20on%20a%20Monday%20(when%20technically%20the%20office%20is%20closed,%20however%20emergencies%20can%20happen%20whenever)%20you%20can%20panic,%20and%20I%20have.%20Because%20the%20Doc%20(love%20you%20for%20nudging%20me%20in%20the%20right%20direction)will%20fire%20jobs%20at%20me,%20unaware%20that%20I%20am%20medically%20developmentally%20delayed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20best%20part%20of%20the%20whole%20week,%20is%20that%20I%20felt%20useful.%20I%20connected%20faces,%20to%20people%20I%20spoke%20to%20over%20the%20phone.%20I%20did%20things%20that%20I%20would%20never%20otherwise%20do,%20if%20I%20had%20not%20took%20that%20leap%20of%20faith.%20But%20beyond%20my%20leap,%20these%20people%20took%20a%20leap%20of%20faith%20of%20their%20own%20(a%20gamble,%20if%20you%20will).%20They%20believed%20in%20me,%20they%20were%20patient,%20understanding%20and%20considerate.%20Wow,%20that%20is%20best%20part%20of%20my%20whole%20year,%20they%20allowed%20me%20into%20their%20world.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20no%20stranger%20to%20work,%20work%20in%20my%20opinion%20is%20all%20relative,%20it%20is%20what%20it%20is.%20Whether%20you%20are%20a%20surgeon%20or%20a%20chef,%20at%20the%20end%20of%20the%20day%20it%20is%20work,%20and%20it%20still%20tires%20you%20the%20same.%20You%20still%20can't%20wait%20to%20get%20home%20and%20put%20on%20yourself,%20that%20you%20left%20at%20the%20door%20when%20you%20went%20to%20work.%20The%20person%20that%20is%20you,%20that%20no%20one%20else%20sees%20but%20your%20family.%20Naked%20and%20you.%20Been%20there%20a%20time%20or%20two%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20first%20started%20out%20in%20the%20food%20service%20world,%20in%20Ketchikan%20Alaska.%20%20I%20worked%20for%20Charley's%20Restaurant,%20which%20was%20a%20sister%20company%20of%20Waterfall%20Resort%20Ltd.%20I%20was%20such%20a%20fry%20in%20a%20big%20pond.%20I%20met%20Johnathan%20Winters,%20Bruce%20Jenner%20and%20Steve%20Garvey,%20these%20folks%20were%20on%20vacation,%20hardly%20an%20impact%20on%20them,%20but%20for%20me:%20I%20am%20still%20telling%20the%20story.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20one%20person%20that%20had%20an%20impact%20on%20me%20was%20Wilhelm%20Herff,%20I%20was%20so%20afraid%20of%20him,%20he%20slipped%20in%20like%20the%20night.%20I%20appreciated%20his%20presence,%20and%20I%20would%20to%20this%20day.%20Thank%20you,%20Bob%20Koenitzer,%20Ken%20Dole%20and%20Willy%20Herff%20for%20taking%20a%20chance%20on%20me,%20I%20would%20not%20be%20where%20I%20am,%20if%20it%20were%20not%20for%20you%20guys.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20follows%20is%20what%20I%20remember%20as%20%22Joe's%20Special%22,%20not%20sure%20why%20it%20was%20called%20Joe's%20Special?%20But%20we%20served%20a%20lot%20of%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20saucepan%20melt%20butter%20and%20saute%20onions%20until%20translucent%20and%20sweet%20smelling,%20add%20ground%20beef%20and%20cook%20until%20beef%20is%20cooked,%20drain%20fat%20add%20spinach%20and%20cook%20until%20spinach%20is%20wilted.%20Add%20eggs%20and%20cook%20until%20eggs%20are%20cooked,%20season%20with%20Parmesan,%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Did%20I%20mention,%20that%2
