Acerca de mí
I was born in Saitama and grew up in the same place for 21 years.
Since becoming a college student, I started to prepare often lunch and dinner for myself at home.
My culinary skills are still those of a beginner, so I am looking forward to following various chefs' recipes to sharpen my skills.
Influencias de Cocina
At home my father often cooked, so the flavor was never quite refined. He would find inexpensive and fresh ingredients and challenge himself through many failures to create success in the kitchen. His influence is perhaps the greatest on me. My father likes sake and we often would nibble while drinking as we prepared the meal. So, I think many of our family recipes wound up a bit on the salty side to quench our thirst. :-)
Later, when I went to Vietnam, I enjoyed Pho and fresh spring rolls among other Vietnamese dishes. It was truly wonderful and those are flavors I can never forget. I want to prepare those same dishes myself someday.
