Acerca de mí

I live on the Mississippi gulf Coast, and also in the Smoky Mountains of
Tennessee. When I am at one place, I miss the other place. I love the food from both areas. I love the South and all of the good food from the South. I believe the nicest people in the world live in the South! I have traveled quite a lot and I am serious when I say that Southerners are the nicest people anywhere. Not only that, there are so many great cooks in the South, and most are willing and glad to share their recipes.
I collect antique, handwritten recipes and antique photographs. When I can find a bit of spare time, I plan to share some of my antique recipes and photographs on my blog. http://wwwriverplantation.blogspot.com. I am working toward a Doctorate degree in Psychology, and helping with my husband's heating and air business. So, I stay pretty busy. I try to make time every few weeks for spending time in my kitchen, usually I will do this for a few days in a row, and cook lots of things over those few days.
I have one daughter and she is working on her Masters degree to be a Pediatric Nurse Practicioner. I am so proud of her. She is married to a wonderful guy that is also a nurse. They both love to cook, especially Joe, her husband. Joe and I have alot of things in common, we both love to cook and we both love photography.
