My passion for winemaking took me from amateur competitions, while I lived on the East Coast, to commercial status after moving to Northern California. Moving to California has enabled me to choose grapes hands-on from selected vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma’s Central Coast, Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Amador County and the Lodi District. Not to mention I am a member of the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association, where I source Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. In addition to the classi California Wines, we specialize in Cal-Italia varietals, such as Barbera, Brunello, Aglianico, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and Malvasia Bianca.
Prior to opening Domenico Wines, my passion for the wine business was shared with others on both the East and West Coasts through Bacchus Winemaking Club. This membership club enabled many more people to create their own wines with custom labels. Over 200,000 cases of wine have been created by amateur winemakers on both the East and West Coasts through the years. Our recipe for success in the wine business is simple…. take the finest grapes of California, add passion, blend with family tradition and you get wine that exudes complexity, finesse, and agreeability. We invite you to come by the winery to taste for yourself. Our tasting room is open every day from 12-5pm or by appt.

My family has a tradition of winemaking and commitment to their Italian heritage. In 1955 in New York, I was introduced to these traditions by my Nonno (grandfather), Domenico Giovinazzo. In the basement of his home was a wine press that Nonno showed me; passing down from one generation to another the love of handcrafting wine.

Teambuilding Bottling Event - The ultimate group experience! In partnership with our associate business, Bacchus Winemaking Club, this is a hands-on bottling event that gives everyone the opportunity to learn how to prepare bottles to be filled with wine, fill the bottles with wine that you have purchased, and finish by corking and sealing them. In advance, your group can choose the wine and design a custom group label for the bottles.
