Acerca de mí
I'm in my sixties, grandmother to five incredible grandkids and mother to three wonderful adult children. I have always loved to cook and enjoy trying new recipes of all ethnic types and also creating new ones. For years my family were the willing (or unwilling) guinea pigs for my new creations.
We live in a picturesque area of Eastern Ontario about 30 miles east of Ottawa. Chesterville is situated on the Nation River and is mainly a farming community.
I love to cook for a crowd and, unfortunately, love to eat as well.
Influencias de Cocina
The greatest cooking influence in my early years was my paternal Grandmother. She was an awesome dessert cook. Her basic cooking style was rich with lots of sauces. Grandma liked to put a sauce on just about everything. My mother was a French Canadian and I learned to cook basic french peasant food from her.
Over the years I have been greatly influenced by many of the Chefs on the Food Network and watch it way too much. jeffrey zakarian, Guy Fierie and Elizabeth Falkner being amongst my favourites.
