My husband and I have recently cut out most processed foods. I admit I still keep cream of...soups on hand because they make the best chicken and rice. I also have onion soup mix because it flavors roast almost perfectly.
I love my crock pot and bread maker. And I'm getting a pasta roller for my birthday because I hate rolling and cutting it by hand. It's the bane of my existance. And since I make almost everything myself it has become a necessity. For Christmas I'm getting a tortilla press and warmer.
I am in the process of finishing my first garden and since I have dreaded walnut trees in my backyard, plus we live on a budget, we're doing container gardens for peppers and tomatoes in plastic totes. My theory being that we can haul them to the basement where they'll be safe from winter elements and compost during the cold months.

My grammy...She perfected simple cooking with simple, wholesome ingredients. I've started cooking more like her and I know she approved. She liked my ham and beans and would ask me to make it again every time I saw her.
My mom and dad...My dad is an amazing gardener and my mom is an awesome cook cooking and canning what comes from dad's labor. My dad is also the pasta sauce maker in the family because that's the one thing my mom can't make for anything.
