I have been cooking for my family for over 38 years from inside/outside BBQ to roasters, convection ovens, plane ovens, stove tops and microwave units. I use all of them from time to time to get the result I am looking for.
My long time goal and rule has always been
(1) taste
(2) speed and ease of cooking
(3) looks good to eat
(4) clean-up
As you may have guested that my family is my biggest critic. My wife of 38 years, daughter of 26 years and son of 16 years all have different taste which makes my job a little frustrating at times. But over the years I have been able with there help to take the many recipes from my late Mother and Grandmother and turn them into modern day "Home Runs"

My late Grandmother (102 years old) and late Mother (87 years old). My Grandmother was from the old country where having a truck garden and many fruit trees plus raising chickens, pigs and cows for milk and beef was a must and my Mother also had a large garden and fruit trees. My dad was a hunter of small game which he would clean and hand over to my mother to cook. Fresh fruit and vegetables was always used in all of the recipes. Yes,most of the game would be put into the freezer for later meals. Also canning and freezing of the fresh food was ongoing as they became ripe. My Mother was a food dietitian/nutritionist for over 60 years. So with there expertise in food preparation and many years of getting it right helped me be the self made chef that I am today in my own kitchen.
