Acerca de mí
I took up cooking at an intermediate level two years ago. About three years before that, I would gather up recipes and follow them to the measure and by the ingredient until I started to learn more about the art of cooking.
Influencias de Cocina
My knowledge of cooking goes back to my teenage years when I was working as a waiter in a catering hall and in several restaurants.
I remembered back to watching what the chefs would do in the kitchen and integrated it into some of my favorite recipes that I've found over the years.
I also get a lot of help from the many celebrity chefs on the Food Network. Some of my faves are Robert Irvine, Mario Batale, Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, and Giada. When they talk, I listen.
I also get a lot of inspiration from family members. My mom's boyfriend is a great cook. He gives me a lot of pointers and I love trying anything he makes. My Aunt Maryann and her daughter are also a great inspiration because they love to create and try new recipes. Last but not least is my grandmother who adds a lot to tradition to Italian-style cooking. She makes some great dishes and sauces that are unmatched. However, whenever I try to duplicate something she makes, she always ends up hating it.
